The standard error of measurement (SEM) and small detectable changes (SDC) for overall care need scores were measured 2.70 and 7.47 respectively. All items were accepted as per the original SCNS-SF34. Following the respondents’ suggestions, simpler Nepali words were chosen in some items to replace the words in the preliminary Nepali version of SCNS-SF34. Conclusion: Preliminary findings show that the Nepali translation of SCNS-SF34 is practical and applicable to the Nepali population. Fourteen descriptive studies measured the relationship between patient or caregiver factors and caregiver burden. Only two studies measured caregiver burden over time. There are a number of gaps in the body of research examining burden and unmet needs of caregivers of individuals with COPD that preclude the development of effective interventions for this population. Prevalence-adjusted bias-adjusted κ (PABAK) coefficients indicated at least moderate agreement (X = 0.79) in identifying participants with moderate/high levels of unmet needs. However, participants tended to report lower levels of unmet needs with a simplified response format in the computerised SCNS-short compared to the paper survey. This was not observed when the response format of the computerised SCNS-short replicated the paper survey. Conclusions: Despite the advantages that computerised surveys offer for simplifying survey presentation, current results suggest the need to exactly replicate the question and response option format of the original paper survey to ensure the data collected are equivalent. This finding is particularly important given the potential application of computerised surveys in the clinical setting to quickly assess and identify patients’ concerns requiring intervention by health care providers.]]> Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:28:16 AEDT ]]> Cancer and the psycho-oncologist: psychosocial well-being of cancer survivors https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:11402 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:09:59 AEDT ]]> A cross-sectional study examining Australian general practitioners' identification of overweight and obese patients https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:17461 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:04:06 AEDT ]]> Some things change, some things stay the same: a longitudinal analysis of cancer caregivers' unmet supportive care needs https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:20257 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:59:56 AEDT ]]> Do cancer helplines deliver benefits to people affected by cancer?
